Has their ever been a group for Greens who suffer from or have suffered from a mental illness? I ask firstly because the Greens have great policies on health, including mental health, but also because people who struggle with, say, depression, may find it more difficult to participate in this exciting time for democracy and progressive politics. Its one thing participating in the relatively safe environment of social media, but some of us may want to do our part out in the community and yet feel unable to take on things like canvassing. Maybe together we could find other valuable contributions to make, or support each other when taking on something that we normally would shrink from. Just a thought. Im conscious that labelling may not be useful here, that mental illness may be too narrow a focus, and any number of other potential objections (the gift of depression is that you always see the worst in your own ideas). But I thought it might be worth asking nonetheless.
