Has there been a Prime Minister who, when he speaks makes more sense, exudes confidence, is consistent in what he says, tackles issues of economy, external affairs and strategic issues with equal aplomb . . . I dont think so. ABV comes closest. The interviewer in this, the redoubtable Fareed Zakaria, was as strong a critic of Modi as yours truly and his conversion seems complete . . . WE now await the results of having NM at the head of our government . . . will the lunatic fringe in his own party, more than anyone else, and the run of the mill politicians that surround him derail him or will he be as strong within his party as he is outside . . .
