Hasan Malek: No more RON95 petrol, diesel subsidies from Dec 1 (the Star) Hasan said there would be an announcement at the end of each month to set the following months fuel prices. Weve all heard the news. Currently global prices for RON95 are set at RM2.43 (Nov 2014), 13 cents gov subsidy rate. which is about 5.4% increase when lifted (if global oil prices remain). In the past 2 years thats an increase from RM1.90 which is at least 22%. Time to start looking at alternatives? Cycling as a substitute to the automobile is just one of them
