Hate generates hate, love generates love The schemes of the Devil mention by the apostle Paul are just as much real and alive today as they were two thousand years ago. The word scheme means. A systematic plan or arrangement for attaining some particular object or putting a particular idea into affect or a secret underhand plan or plot. We are told to put on the armour of God. The armour is Jesus. 1. Belt of Truth John.14:6. 2. Breastplate of Righteousness. 2Cor.5:21. 3. Gospel of Peace. Eph.2:14. 4. Shield of Faith. Heb.12:2. 5. Helmet of Salvation. Matt.1:21. 6. Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. John.1:1. 7. Pray in the Spirit. Heb.7:25. As an ex-soldier we were taught to know our enemy and his tactics. I believe that anything that takes us away from the commission that Jesus gave us can be classified as a tactic or scheme of the enemy. Jesus never once fought for causes or asked His disciples to fight on His behalf for any cause; but, He did say go and make disciples. I agree we must love one another as He loved us so that they will know we are His disciples, but to be distracted by so many causes will hinder the spreading of Gods word and only generate hate and distrust in a world already fill with hate and darkness. Hate will generate hate in an already darkened world, but love will generate love and will generate light in a world void of light. You see, WE ARE THE LIGHT OF THIS WORLD.
