Hate is filled with hate. It is a idea born of misunderstanding, prejudice and animosity. Hate is a terrible word and a terrible feeling. Hate changes our mind and breaks from rationality. It fogs our senses until all we see are enemies waiting to attack. Hate is used to oppress and disenfranchise. Anger is a response to something that is hurtful or painful. It is legitimate and thought out. It is not blind like hatred is and not nearly as destructive. Anger can bring change in the face of adversity. It is constructive. Many people call anger hatred in an attempt to delegitimize it. They say negative feelings are bad and you shouldnt feel them. So many want to shut all the anger out of human experience. When someone is attacked we exalt the ideal of taking things in stride and not letting it get to you, as if these are great shows of character. It is wrong to deny anger. Anger is not hate. Anger helps us get through trials and pain. Anger helps us change the world so that things become better.
