Haters Gonna Hate When Sinn Fein comes out with a financial, fact based plan to Axe the Water Tax, people point out that we have no plans to shut down Irish Water. The ONLY party in Ireland to propose a credible alternative. In case people dont understand, here is a simple explanation. Local underfunded Councils, were in charge of the shambolic water system, and could each decide on how much to spend on the local water system. Irish Water is a national body, whose sole purpose is to maintain and improve the current water system, which is a good idea, as the water system can be looked after at a national level, instead of just locally. And under Sinn Féin this service will be provided FREE OF CHARGE, meaning no bills, no boycotts, no protests. Simply better quality water, for free. There is no need to cripple ordinary Irish people, as we have proven and continue to prove with our Annual Alternative Budget, which shows there is a better way, a Sinn Féin way.
