Hatha Yoga is a science of Mind as well as Body, and beneficent changes in the mind-body continuum are available even to those who are stiff and past their youth. For achievement of health and peace of mind, consistent practice is more important than some accomplishing some arbitrary standard of flexibility, and if you work consistently with a balanced set of postures, progress will be realized on many fronts, some of them unexpected. All you need is commitment plus a sense of observation and experimentation.
