Hats off to Belmont Park and NYRA for the amazing card they put together on Belmont Stakes day. Bucking tradition and rescheduling big races to fall on the same day was a brilliant idea and I hope they continue to hold these races on the same day. The card was a just a few Euros and an inquiry short of being Breeders Cup card worthy, in my opinion. On a day when the world was watching racing, it was nice to see no breakdowns or any other incidents that would have left another black eye on the face of racing. And as much as I (and the majority of racing fans, it seems) disagree with Steve Coburns (dumb)asinine tirade following California Chromes loss, he did just ensure that racing will be a topic of discussion in mainstream media, which isnt a bad thing, in my opinion. Now, instead of dwelling on my nose loss in the Belmont with Commissioner (Translation:$500), Im going to go double my money at Los Alamitos Race Course. God I love horse racing! ;) #Degenerate
