Hats off to Rajkumar Hirani for giving us a thought provoking movie PK. After watching this movie I am fully convinced that there is only one religion in this world - HUMANITY. All other so called religions are man-made, be it Hinduism, Islam, Christianity, Sikhism or Buddhism. HUMANITY is the only true religion from God because we humans are created by HIM. As long as we live here on this earth as mortals we will either support or fight for that one religion thrusted on us no sooner we are born. One should first be a good human and labelling yourself as a Hindu, Muslim, Christian or Sikh are all secondary. Indeed this movie was an eye opener. My friend Abhishek Patil felt hurt and insulted when a guy who was playing the role of Shiva, mind you, an actor, was chased by an alien (PK) misunderstanding him to be the real Lord Shiva. Why was he chasing him? Not to insult the Hindu God but only to ask help from him to find his remote. And he is approaching all Gods not just the misunderstood Lord Shiva, praying in all places of worship ONLY TO ASK HELP FROM THEM TO FIND HIS REMOTE. A human is not doing this foolish act here but an ALIEN. Yes! If the director had used a real man from this earth as a protagonist doing these weird things then I also would have agreed with what Abhishek wrote in his earlier post. Everyone of us have the right to express our anger or feel bad when fingers are lifted at our religion. But the director has not only exposed a false Hindu Godman but at the same time has also shown a Muslim terrorist blowing up a train, a Christian missionary priest trying to convert some poor Hindus and so on. If we keep our respective religions aside and without any prejudice watch PK, I am sure you would agree the most important and relevant message the director has conveyed through this movie. Hats off to Aamir Khan. As an alien he was mind blowing and I bet no other actor would have pulled off this role so convincingly like him. He is THE AAMIR KHAN. Anushkha was equally brilliant. The only flaw was the Hindi Bhojpuri/Rajasthani slang Aamir uses throughout the movie. As such South Indians are not that much conversant in the Hindi language and above that to understand a Bhojpuri dialect was next to impossible. PK is more of understanding the dialogues than a visual treat and if you fail to understand the dialogues, there is no point in going and watching this movie. I would rate 4.5 /5 without battling my eyelids like Aamir in the movie. :) :)
