Hau`oli la hanau to my Dad who wouldve been 74 today. My thoughts - TopicsExpress

Hau`oli la hanau to my Dad who wouldve been 74 today. My thoughts are about him today. I have thoughts of him every day but more so today. I miss him terribly. For gifts when we were little, we would make homemade coupons for chores to do for him and his favorite chocolate was Reese Peanut Butter Cups! He loved us all and was especially proud of his grandchildren. He would be proud with the grandkids he never got to meet!! Strong, funny and a perfectionist. He used to say this is not a democracy, this is a dictatorship and if youd like me to be a benevolent dictator you will do as I ask. Always challenging us to think for ourselves, do better and always involved in our lives. From my theatre, to Claudine Harding Andrews dancing, to Gregg Stones sports - he made the time. He was loved by many. Many of my friends, my brother & sisters friends - he was admired and sought after for his guidance and opinions. The best quote from my Dad that he typed up on stickers and we had on our bulletin boards in our room: Self discipline usually makes the difference between apathy & accomplishment; futility & fulfillment. And I still strive for this every day. We miss you, Dad! oxoxo
