Haunted hay ride crash hurts 23 MECHANIC FALLS, ME (WGME/CNN) – Authorities told the Associated press that 23 people were hurt, and many were taken to hospitals after a haunted hay ride accident at Harvest Hill Farms on Saturday. Authorities say a trailer overturned while carrying guests through a spooky event known as The Gauntlet. Rescue teams from seven fire departments and three police departments rushed to the rural area after the wreck. Two passengers were hurt badly enough that helicopters flew them to the hospital. “When we went down there, it was just. … There were a lot of people just laying around, so it just. … I don’t know if they, how they got off of the ride; if it was, you know what I mean?
