Hav Deep Convictions and Stand by Them. Luther expressed himself one day this way,"Every Christian, particularly everyone who is administering a public office in Christendom, should at any time, if the need arises, be personally prepared to stand up, to confess his Lord Christ, and to defend his faith. He should be constantly armed against the world, the devil, and the sects, and should oppose them with whatever he can. But no one will readily do this unless he is so certain of thedoctrine tha though even I myself were to turn fool (God forbid!) and recant or deny my doctrine, he would nonetheless not fall away but say: Even though LOuther himself or an angel from heaven teaches otherwise, let him be accursed." Galations 1:8 "But though we or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."
