~ Havana ~ imagine as you listen !! In my most remarkable songs of the World Series, may I share with you the both original and remixed version of the famous song Havana today. This as a composition is extremely close to my heart and remains one of my favorites since I first heard it in 1997 during my AIESEC conference after party at Shimla. Heres for you two tracks flushed with distinct latin hues, which are extremely sensuous, intoxicating and rare creations by the brilliant musician ~ Kenny G Havana is the 1997 single from his studio album The Moment. One of my most favorite musicians, Kenny G is known for the magic he weaves through his Saxophone. I had the pleasure to watch him perform live at UB city in Bangalore couple of years ago and it was one one of the most beautiful live concerts Ive ever attended. There is something incredibly nice about Havana. As a song it has the power to take you to great heights of joy, positivity and give you a cheerful uplift if you are ever feeling low. It somehow manages to connect you with yourself somewhere within. If you truly want to enjoy Havana, sit back, relax, close your eyes, take a deep breath and let the song create its magic. In no time youll see that it touches the innermost chords of your heart, creating gentle ripples through your soul and weaving a beautiful aura of surreality all around. Imagine as you listen, and you could might well be on a panoramic Cuban sea shore, amidst swaying palms, on a balmy-windy evening, sipping a refreshing cuba libré; All this as you watch the beautiful communion of sky and the sea over the melting sunset. Ah bliss..!! Music in its purest forms, thats whats Havana is for me. The remixed version I share today is a collaborative track with famous tap dancer and choreographer Savion Glover, who provides some fantastic contemporary, fluid choreography, well suited to this mesmerizing foot tapping song.
