Have Jehovah’s Witnesses Changed the Bible to Fit Their Beliefs? Many people get spooked when bibles are updated without examining the changes to see if they are really changes or just updated to the better understood common language of the day. We have no bibles with the original language spoken at the time the letters were written as well as we couldnt read the original language anyway. However, we can have confidence in the bible because Jesus taught from the Hebrew writings and had anything been wrong with them he would have seen to it the changes were made to the many copies that were created during his lifetime. At the time of the Greek writings there are many copies made to continue to reference. The Hebrew and Greek Writings are now written in many languages for everyone to reference. We are aware Jehovahs name being replaced with consonants due to superstition of the use of the name being too superior to even speak. However, that is not true as Jehovah wants us to not only speak but use his name. Ps 83:18
