Have a blessed evening everyone! Headed to prayer meeting - lots to pray about for the upcoming year! Then home for pizza party and awesome dessert! Scream Machine Bars! When you bite into them ... you wanna SCREAM they are so good! :-) Heres the recipe: Scream Machine Bars Filling: 2 pkg. cream cheese 3/4 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 t vanilla Cookie Part: 1 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 2 t vanilla 2 cups sifted flour 1 1/2 t salt 1 t soda 2 cups chocolate chips 1 cup nuts, chopped For cookie part: Cream sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla until fluffy. Stir together dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. For filling: Beat together cream cheese, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Take half of the cookie dough and spread in a 13x9 pan. Next put on cream cheese mixture, top with cookie dough. Some cream cheese will show through. Bake at 350 degrees until top is golden brown or looks done. About 35-40 minutes.
