Have a cat question....For the last couple of weeks, whenever I open a can of the wet food, Ruby is always next to her dish while I scoop out the food into the dish. So, as soon as she sniffs the food (while I am scooping), she gags (just once). Then she is fine and eats the food, gravied Fancy Feast. I have purchased a couple of grain free (Merrick, and I usually feed Tikis Aha Tuna everyother day), to try and see if she has the gagging reflex while I scoop it into her dish. My favorite pet store lady (Katzenbarkers) said sometimes cats get so excited about their food they do this or it could be some acid reflux. She does not do this with her dry kibbles. Has anyone else had this issue? Could it be a symptom of something more serious? Am I being a bit of a worry wort?
