Have a plane ticket ready to go to Kalimantan this afternoon (Monday) for an overdue ministry trip visiting Setias largest branch campus at Ngabang whose director has invited me to introduce a passion for Scripture at his seminary, and to visit with, encourage, reinforce, and get updates from several of our 30 friends (3rd year students) currently using our tools and spreading a knowledge of and passion for the Bible in villages throughout Kalimantan and elsewhere, including our main outreach area where stellar student Tetty and recent alumni Amonio have been following up on our Scripture work in the November ministry trip I and a team of 3 students took. However, I decided to cancel due in part to both.kids being sick, but much more because this morning we are expecting a demonstration where 450 people have been given permission to come to our campus and demand we immediately stop teaching and make plans to soon leave and sell the campus. Pray for the Setia leaders as they meet with the demonstrators. The uncertainty surrounding this and possible future demonstrations if their demands are not met made this the wrong time to leave Jacky and the kids for a week as badly as I want/need to get to Kalimantan. Lord willing, both issues will be resolved soon so I, or if the kids are well enough, we as a family can go to Kalimantan soon.
