Have a read of this post by my coach about a documentary on a study of dietary carbs and fats. Now before you all start with the everybody is different & nutritional needs are different spiel, yes I 110% agree, but the take home message as Brad said is that your body needs all macros - PROTEIN, CARBS & FATS. And not just to function but for optimal vitality, homeostasis, performance & body composition. Our bodies are a lot more complex than simply calories in/out. I never cut carbs or fats in my diet, not even during comp prep, not once, not even one day & I still get lean. So before you start fearing fats or fearing carbs (lets be honest so many people fear one or the other), or going on a fad diet eliminating a whole range of things from your diet, do your research. And I mean scientific research, not media hype, not friends here-say. Or better yet consult with a professional. Because you can do a lot more damage to your bodies than you may think. Dont believe me? Maybe Ill share with you my story....
