If you dont get it youll shrug your shoulders and keep trolling, no harm, no foul. I was just opening my first dealership, a brand new Nissan dealership a short way from Nashville in middle Tennessee. The contractor had turned over the building, a sparkling new facility in a booming little city on a beautiful plateau in the Cumberlands. The father of the builders and the founder of the construction company locally came by to congratulate me and to wish me success. I was not much over thirty and on my own. Although I had a huge investor back home in Carolina he was six hours away and in a different time zone. I was literally on my own! I needed all the advice I could get because to be honest I was scared to death that I had oversold myself and I was afraid that I couldnt rise to the challenge. So I listened.. Tom, he said, You never want to skin a chicken. If ones comes by and you can just pluck him real good, be nice to him and let him go. Before long those feathers will grow back and you can pick him again real good. If you ever skin him once, its over! Pack up and go home cause your chicken days will be over.
