Father, when I live for me...I am greedy...I crave attention. When I make it about You...I realize that applause of man pales in comparison to simply enjoying Your company. Father, thank You for sending Your Son as our Sacrifice...but also as our example. Jesus, The King of kings and Lord of lords, came as a baby boy...a carpenters son...in a little town called Bethlehem. He had all power at His fingertips and yet He came to serve...not to be served. I, on the other hand, am but a man...and for some reason I often feel that I need to be served...not serve others. That is when I notice that Im letting my sinful desires control me...and not Your Loving Spirit. Father, You Must increase...and I Must decrease. Shepherd, thank You for grace. Thank You for loving arms that are always open to receive. Thank You for the cross and how it reminds us that Jesus died because someone had to...our sins demanded payment...and You chose to pay the price so that we could have You...for eternity. Continue to soften our hearts with Your Gentle Spirit. Continue to open our eyes so that we can see the beauty in allowing You to love others through us. Thank You for choosing us, Father. Thank You for forming us with a purpose. Please continue to light our path...and open our eyes so we see where Your light is shining. We love You. In Jesus precious name, Amen. A woodwind or brass instrument cannot play the note...unless the musician breathes into it...then it is able to make the sound it was created for... The instrument cannot play itself. It needs breath. Just like us...in order to play/live the Life we were created to...we need to allow His Love/breath...to flow through us. It is then...that we take part in the beautiful orchestration playing a new song of hope, joy, redemption, healing, strength, forgiveness, grace...Life...pointing to Him...our Risen Christ. May we have a humbled spirit...remembering we need a Savior. May we have an incredible day...as we remember that we have One...our Savior...Jesus...the Risen Christ.
