Have any of you worked in a spa setting and still been successful in representing yourselves as a professional RMT? I have just moved to a small northern community with my husbands job transfer with the RCMP. The most suitable space I could find to set up my practice is in an esthetics spa with one other medical professional-a counsellor. I am looking forward to using the space as it has good excessability, large room with a window (yay), and admin staff to handle all billings etc. Plus I get the benefits of being an employee rather than self employed. My concern is that I may have a difficult time getting people, and more importantly other therapists to take me seriously/send me referrals if they cant see past the location and the name Cloud 9 Esthetics So, if any of you have been through this experience, Id greatly appreciate some words of wisdom and encouragement. Thanks!
