Have been reflecting on a passenger I had yesterday on my express - TopicsExpress

Have been reflecting on a passenger I had yesterday on my express in from the ferry. I saw her get on, she paid and put her small pack on the luggage rack. After I had loaded all the passengers I still had 15 minutes until I left. I watched her pace up and down the aisle, up and down the stairs and become more and more agitated. Finally I asked if there was a problem I could help with. She stated that everyone was staring at her and she was uncomfortable everywhere. I offered to find her a seat upstairs but she said she couldnt handle the close proximity of everyone. She finally said she was ok with standing by the luggage rack. I went on playing my stupid candy crush and noticed she was crying. I gave her a tissue and just started talking. The entire trip in we talked. She opened up a lot as we drove along. I really enjoyed her quirky humour and found this was one of my most pleasant trips in. When we got to her stop she looked right at me and thanked me for my kindness and understanding. I thanked her for the great conversation. I am very thankful I was able to recognize the signs of a serious anxiety disorder/attack and knew what to do. I really wish our employer would spend more time on this sort of training other than how to wipe the nose of a Winey brat. I just want all of us in this job to just please have a look out for someone that at first glance may seem weird but really only truly needs is a friendly face and conversation. Love to you all and thanks for obliging this to me on Facebook.
