Have been sitting in the GCUH since 6:30 this morning after receiving a phone call at 2:30am. For whatever reason, none that are obvious at this stage, Alliyahs oxygen saturations dropped over night and her heart rate rose and temperature spiked. She has required oxygen and full ventilation with an increased peep setting. However, we are now finally back off oxygen but still ventilated at a higher peep. :( With less than 10 days till Christmas and having three nights at home a week .....please keep your fingers crossed that this doesnt amount to anything serious and we remain home for Christmas......our first Christmas home.
