Have been thinking about LWren Scotts suicide, and Philip Seymour - TopicsExpress

Have been thinking about LWren Scotts suicide, and Philip Seymour Hoffmans death, not technically a suicide, but obviously he was laboring underneath a paralyzing load of emotional pain. This poem is for them and for all of the unknowns out there who feel living is too much of an onerous task to continue. I am attempting to vocalize the anguish that might have been a constant in their Earthly life. Desperation within The weight of my smile without, Ive tried to scream out The words I feel, The pain surreal And deadly calm And closer this day Than you, or love, Or promises once carved in flesh Long forgotten now Like discarded candle wax, Broken, silent, and alone. Youll have to forgive For you see, Ive gone to complete My real, unfinished destiny. I see the way clearly: Cobalt sky, An Autumn country lane below A tunnel of golden elms, Clad in sun-sparkle and molten glitter That quiets all fears Banishes them to that dreaded place Below a frightened childs bed; Theres only peace now And shelter For whatever lies ahead.
