Have had a totally lazy day today since I was kind of tired from yesterday. Chad and Deb have been busy canning corn all day today. Stopped long enough to have breakfast, lunch and dinner but right back to it they went. Last canner for today on right now. I have napped, read, napped some more. Must get with it tomorrow, physical therapist will be here at 11 a.m. Really had a shock then a big laugh today. Getting my bath and after I soap my back and arms Debbie gets the shower head down and rinses me real well with warm water. Well, today she grabbed that shower head and immediately hosed my back with it. Damn, she forgot to let the water warm first. Took my breath away and about froze me to death and, in turn, about scared her to death. I was looking at the expression on her face and she was looking at the expression on my face. She couldnt figure out what was wrong, thought perhaps I was having a heart attack, seizure or something. Once the water warmed (which was pretty quick) I started laughing and was able to tell her about the cold water shock. We laughed and laughed, had a heck of a time getting straightened up. The funniest thing was the expressions on one anothers face. I owe her now, just wait. Lasix is helping but my feet are still full of fluid. Seems every time I take a lasix pill the dog has to pee. I sat outside about 30 minutes and Lizzy peed 4 times during that 30 minutes. Dont think my taking the lasix is supposed to work on the dog. Lil Bit, the kitten, visits me during the night but doesnt stay long. When I was feeling so bad last week she stayed right on the bed at my feet. Funny how animals sense those things. Miss our two little canine kids but Ben is taking good care of them. He complains and says they stare at him. Guess he expects conversation from them. LOL. Going to have some cantalope out of the garden. They are getting ripe fast and the watermelon will be ready before long. Hope we can keep up with them. Neighbors are certainly enjoying the fruits of Deb & Chads labors and they enjoy being able to share. Off here now. Good night and God bless my friends. Prayers for all.
