Have held this Featured section up a little longer than usual in sync with the focus on all ABC channels about mental health -- campfire.org.au/festival/pastoral-care-and-wellbeing-middle-upper-secondary New Featured area & new films coming very soon :) Ultramarine in particular (campfire.org.au/film/ultramarine), says Brian Ahern of Scotch College: An excellent, clear, uncomplicated film that very clearly conveys common misconceptions about depression that often relegate it to feeling bad because of some logical causes. Great discussion starter without giving too much information. At the beginning it is a little amateurish but it gains momentum. Perfect for a single lesson with plenty of time for discussion. Probably best suited Year 10+ Teachers note: This is not PLUG & PLAY -- think very carefully about using these rich resources and how you and the class might respond... but we encourage you to consider raising the issues using films that are brave enough to go into these places.
