Have just completed an 1800 mile journey by car across Europe. Accompanied by a zillion music stations Lithuanian, German, Latvian etc. All the English lyric songs, loads of them are as dumb as the output. There is a slim volume of fun, noting their content.However kids listening to this rubbish answers the question, why are kids so mindless today. Off the top of my head " Standing at the flood steady as an earthquake" - "My heart is in your head, now you see where my heart is bending at the seams" These are reasonably tame but the real evil is the electronic "percussion " that is so mind numbingly programmable. Still the Baltic States are full of wonderful people as well as maniacs behind the wheel. Overtaking at a 110 mph in a monsoon?
