Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor - TopicsExpress

Have no fear of them, nor be troubled, but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, having a good conscience, so that, when you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame. (1 Peter 3:15-16 ESV) Youve just gotta have faith, was never good enough of an answer for me when I was exploring God. Please be equipped to answer your roommates questions during those awkward but wonderful late night conversations about God; and be prepared to defend your faith so that you may say more than, Im just a Christian because I was brought up that way. Does God exist? How do you know your God is true and others are false? If God is so loving why does He cast people to Hell (even the phrasing of some questions like these is evidence that there are misinterpretations about our God)? If Jesus preaches love, why are there wars and famines in the Old Testament? How do you know Scripture is a reliable source after it being translated many times over throughout the centuries? There are sensible and Christian based answers to all of these questions. Sometimes people reject Christ because theyre being preached counterfeit versions of the Gospel. Help prevent this! Ive been meeting with an Apologetics group composed mostly of IVTCF alumni. Its good to be familiar with peoples evidence for and against God. This video is long, but I urge you all to watch it in its entirety (start at 9:00 to skip introductions)—maybe over several lunch breaks. Have a beautiful rest of the week everyone ;) youtu.be/S7WBEJJlYWU
