Have people heard about the big to-do about the BBC documentary - TopicsExpress

Have people heard about the big to-do about the BBC documentary RWANDAS UNTOLD STORY ( bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04kk03t )? The BBC is under attack by establishment hacks (see: lindamelvern/) who have always sold us a bill of goods on genocide in Rwanda -- distilling the truth of a US/UK-Israeli backed invasion by proxy army (led by Paul Kagame) down to a simplistic tribal narrative claiming bloodthirsty Hutus slaughtered 800,000 to 1.5 million Tutsis in 100 days. The truth is much much different than that (see, e.g., my summary story for RT News: rt/op-edge/real-genocide-rwanda-hutu-extremist-848/ ). In true form -- terrorists beget terrorism -- Paul Kagame has accused the BBC of genocide denial (see: independent.co.uk/news/media/tv-radio/bbc-accused-of-promoting-genocide-denial-in-rwanda-documentary-9792170.html ). One of the most laughable but duplicitous experts who signed Linda Melverns letter of complaint to the BBC is Dr. Gregory Stanton, the founder of Genocide Watch. To understand the Politics of Genocide that is at work here, see Stantons Genocide Watch chart about Genocides and Politicides on this page (download the table as a WORD doc here: genocidewatch.org/genocide/genocidespoliticides.html ). If you know anything about history, you can scan this chart and find clear examples of political bias (read: extreme fantasy). Almost every instance where the United States has been involved in atrocities, for example, the USA is not even mentioned. Look at Uganda: no mention of the atrocities (including genocide) committed by teh Museveni regime in Uganda 1980-1986. Look at Nicaragua: Stanton claims that there was a genocide (or was it a politicide) against the CIA-backed Contras committed by the Sandanista guerrillas. These are the same CI-backed thugs that perpetrated the most horrible atrocities on the population, later went on to provide crack cocaine shipped by the CIA to cities like Los Angeles (See: Gary Webbs amazing investigative work: Dark Alliance). And, of course, see his accountings for Congo and Rwanda: no Hutus killed in Rwanda prior to 1995. What utter nonsense. The chart is grossly weak. Perhaps it is arrogance, or perhaps the presumption that anyone who challenges this can be bullied, as he does, that he thinks he can get away with such nonsense. By the way, this is the same Gregory Stanton that I worked for when I worked for Genocide Watch 2004-2006. When I released (made public) the report on Genocide in Ethiopia (co-written with Maxine Markus) backed by the United States and then began to criticize the United Nations as a giant scandal, of course, Stanton disowned me. And, by the way, the BBC documentary repeats a bunch of propaganda lies: it doesnt go far enough, by any stretch of the truth, but this is how right-wing fascists bully and sway the media: claiming it is far leftist bias(ed) when it is merely just left of far right-wing.
