Have sadly read all kinds of bizarre comments about Pope Francis - TopicsExpress

Have sadly read all kinds of bizarre comments about Pope Francis tonight - from anger over allowing Muslim prayers in the Vatican gardens (at a historic Peace Conference he initiated by the way) to people undermining his attempts at reunification with the Orthodox Church, to the most ridiculous of speculation that while hes NOT the anti-Christ, but CERTAINLY a False-Prophet (emphasis added) Im sickened by all of this - and will allow my Italian tempter to abate and refrain from what I really want to say. But cant help but see the irony of these things being posted YESTERDAY... on PENTECOST... yeah. Either you believe the Spirit blows where He wills - or you dont. Either the Holy Spirit raised up Francis (as he did Benedict and JP II) or He didnt... you cant have it both ways. So heres my catch-all comment to all of the different posts mentioned above: These men arent elected Saints - theyre not perfect men, nor infallible in all things. They are men the Lord raised up to the See of Peter. Instead of arm-chair quarterbacking (or worse, spreading seeds of dissension, disunity - as if theres not enough of that already) perhaps going to prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to enlighten all of our hearts and minds to His will might be much more productive. End of Pentecost rant....
