Have shared this before but worth sharing. I think every person interested in education should take note of this story.Teaching is about teaching to the individual not to some test or set standard. (examples: Race to the Top, No Child left Behind, Common Core etc...) When we forget the human factor and worry about meeting so called standards to ensure federal and state money, we have lost not only our education system but society as we know it. Once true education is gone, within a couple of generations society is left with the bulk of people who are nothing more than glorified slaves to the few who have been selectively given real education.
