Have the stock antenna, or even aftermarket antenna and want to get a much better signal? I just did this and essentially doubled my receive potential: x.co/5eOOk In the past 2 weeks since I got the radio, I have heard one conversation. I went outside with the stock antenna and scanned the frequencies i have programmed in and was hearing nothing. Then I did this (added a small basic wire to the outside ring), and right away was picking up a conversation that the antenna alone couldnt.
