Have to love when another mom gives you unsolicited advice... While screaming at her toddlers to get down from the top of a play structure, while sitting and smoking, she starts telling me about the great apps on the phone that I should download for jack so that he might learn his prek skills early. She was trying to show him on her phone! I told her that he doesnt play on my phone, except for listening to music. So then she tried to lecture me about how her 2 yet old is so much more advanced and can do puzzles because of this app and why in the world have I not been having him play on apps since he could sit up?! Geez, whats wrong with me?! I have no problem with what other people let their kids play with, but dont tell me what mine needs to do! I told her that he is already doing all the things he needs to be doing, plus more! I think she didnt believe me that he is such a good talker and already uses short sentences, because hes so quiet around other people... I told her i have an early childhood and reading background , so I said thanks but i know what is developmentally appropriate for my son. But I was just ticked that a stranger would tell me what I need to be doing with MY son, who (i may be bias , but) is very smart and very vocal and will be plenty ready for prek! Especially when she wasnt doing a great job herself right then... Ahhhh!!!!!! Rant over ;)
