Have to share an interesting experience when trying to find a space to rent in Mt Shasta for an event. I made the assumption that City Park would be reasonable taking into consideration the age if the buildings (1920s) and their poor condition. To name a few; sewage, electrical, heating and air. I was sadly mistaken as I was told to rent one of these choice buildings for a Birthday party, they would charge me $400. Being a home owner and a taxpayer I find this quite insulting and very unreasonable. So I looked elsewhere and was delighted to find out that the Masonic Lodge/community building in Mt Shasta was most definitely available and more than reasonably priced. Ann Rutherford who runs the show there was extremely helpful and willing to work with me in organizing a place to have an event at a very reasonable price. The plus side, of course, is that the condition of this building is a FAR cry from the crappy ones at the city park. I made the false assumption that it would be pricier and it turned out completely opposite. So I would HIGHLY recommend the Masonic Lodge for any event from here on out.
