Have to wash my hair tonight *grumble grumble* because tomorrow morning I will be waking up bright and early for my first of 6+ electroconvulsive therapy treatments. This tried and true and greatly improved treatment is meant to help regulate the physical aspects of depression (sleep|energy|mood|appetite*) and is considered a viable option for drug resistant cases and pregnant women who cannot take their usual medications due to harmful effects during pregnancy. (Full disclosure: Im not pregnant). Im cautiously optimistic that this will help my complicated case and though its quite safe there is something about being put to sleep, paralyzed, and shocked that begs that I ask for your prayers and/or good vibes especially around 8 am ET tomorrow. Furthermore, a reminder that my fridge longs to be filled with chicken divans and homemade anything made with love rather than another month of pizza boxes and overpriced takeout.
