Have we told you how excited we are about the new Redondo Waterfront? A small amount of boutique shops, better restaurant choices and a number of amazing places you can watch a sunset while imbibing on your favor beverage. The details are becoming clearer and clearer on this project yet people are still having a problem embracing a change. We respect everyone’s opinion and think that there are so many great reasons we feel the majority of people in Redondo Beach fully support this revitalization of the entire area of the Redondo Harbor Boardwalk and Marketplace. Unfortunately there are a number of other people out there trying to spread the typical misinformation and get you to think that this will be the location for some massive mall that will have big box stores. It is not! Don’t let the typical voices of opposition lead you into inaccurate facts about the necessary changes that have to happen around our Pier. Some people are even going so far as to try to raise money to legally go against our own city. The reality is that they are just trying to get people to help fund a group of people that live in the condos above the pier that want to keep everyone away from the area. Don’t let this small group of residents ruin our dreams of a revived waterfront. We feel there are much better things that you can do to spend money on the holidays for those that are really in need, not costing our city tens of thousands of dollars to do what we already know is the right thing to move our waterfront into the next generation! Please help in this season of giving and if you have the spare money, spend it on those in need, not those in greed!
