NOT that Im picking on anyone or their levels of knowledge on the subject, but its like people have lost the concept that ELECTRICITY CAN KILL YOU. I read about people wanting to save money by working on their gear themselves. Its a great skill to learn, but under proper supervision. If youre asking about biasing tubes before you put them in your amp, TAKE IT TO A TECH. If youre asking about how to unplug the round silver thing that controls my volume from your amp because your pot is scratchy, TAKE IT TO A TECH. The high prices of a techs shop time, extensive knowledge, training, equipment, and resources is NOTHING compared to the damage you may cause yourself or others by messing with electricity. If youre asking US how to go in and fix an issue with your amp, youre probably better served taking it in. This isnt a pride thing, folks. Its a safety concern. If you value your life and your gear, youll value the work that a good technician can do for you.
