Have you ever been friends with someone and in a short time learned to love that person and care for them, only to have them turn around in an even shorter period later and basically make you feel like you are just a friendship of convenience? Like they were never there for you - only there because you happened to be there? Their excuse for their own separate agenda? I am usually a very calloused and resilient person. I dont let a lot of words hurt me or pierce through my barriers but recently I have felt a sting coming from certain people I know. Maybe I am going through a sensitive phase and should just let it go and suck it up. Or if I thought this person really cared about our friendship, maybe I would say something. But then again that runs the risk of rejection and tension and plain ol weirdness. I guess all one can do is pray about it.
