Have you ever been to mormonthink(dot)com? If you are young in teh church and still need to learn LDS doctrine you might sometimes want to look for info in other pro mormon sites. However, as you surf around you will sometimes find sites like mormonthink and get your testimony rattled and tested. Anti-mormons are devious. They have crafted certain websites to look like pro-mormon sites. Sure mormonthink presents assessments of church doctrine. It even seems to show a balanced look at both sides pro and con. However, the intent of the site is not to support the beliefs of the church or even present a fair and balanced assessment of LDS teachings. Underneath that disguise is a subtle crafty way of destroying your young faith. Last year a Sunday school teacher came up to me to ask about the site. After reading its pages I told her that it is clearly an anti-mormon site disguised as a pro-mormon site. Be careful. Thats one of the latest trends in anti-mormonism nowadays. Heres another example: futuremissionary(dot)com. It sounds okay right? It looks like a great website to help our young friends prepare for missions. It even has a missionary preparation questions and answers page. But if you look through the content it DEMORALIZES the person preparing for a fulltime mission. The rest of its pages break down your faith. It uses the very same tactics that anti-mormons use. And BTW, if you click some of their resource pages they dont send you to church owned websites. Of course not. The resource pages send you to ANTI-MORMON websites. Some of them even link back to mormonthink (gasp). Warn the youth and those preparing for missions. If you want resources on church doctrine then use church owned websites. if youre looking for pro LDS apologetic resources then ask tata Rex. (hahaha) [brad labas mo na ang Day of Defense mo, mukhang inaalikabok na] If you have run into any questionable websites then remember this: Doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith. Post nyo yung websites dito and pwedeng kilatisin ng ibang forumers dito kung pro or anti yun. anjan lang naman ang mga kuya at ate eh. :) example si kuya Rigoberto etc. Ingat ingat lang, kasi ang pamagat at presentation ng anti-mormons nagbago na. Naka DISGUISE mode na sila ngayon di gaya ng dati. :D
