Have you ever conversed with someone you love deeply? You will find yourself prolonging your conversation. Your answers wont be blunt or short- rather you will prolong them with details in hopes that the conversation can carry on. And that love is manifested in the conversation Musa has with Allaah. Allah asks Musa alayhi salam only one question of what is in his right hand. Musa couldve said It is my staff But instead he adds more detail even though Allah is aware of all details, only to prolong and deepen the conversation with Allaah. And what is that in your right hand, O Moses? He said, It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses. [ Surah Taha] In it are lessons of how we should converse with Allah in our prayers, and in our duas. We should yearn to extend our conversation with Him, pouring out all our thoughts, worries and hopes - even though He is aware of all of it and more. -Inspired by Fajr blog
