Have you ever felt a shadow? I recently did a 25 hour drive from Seattle to San Diego with no sleep. Towards the end of it, I started feeling things like they were different shapes than what they were. A shadow cast across my arm felt like there was a heavy weight draped over it, like one of those lead aprons used at the dentist when theyre taking x-rays, while my other arm, which had the shadow cast under it, felt like my elbow was on an arm rest, even though there was nothing under it. And no, there were no mind altering substances involved. It went away after Id gotten some rest. Fascinating experience, though, being able to feel what you see.
