Have you ever felt like or was forced into starting over? That is understandable. You not the only one. Most of us have started over many times in life. I have endured this on more than one occasion in life. While we can start over, we often start over from a broken state and are in fact best prepared to start new. Except for a cases of dementia, no one starts over from scratch. While some do lose all material items due to fire or storm of nature or divorce, even these start over with memories and mental aptitude or attitudes. The issue is we have a choice to make; we can start over or we can start new. This morning in prayer I realized that my Lord, Jesus Christ provided me NEW mercy in this day and every day. Having been giving mercy, shall I do likewise? Some Christians, myself included, often want it all for themselves without considering others. We want our rights, our benefits, our successes, our health, our wealth, our victories. Who want this for others even those who are not good to you? The answer…Jesus…the very one who SHARED His right, benefits, successes, health, wealth, and victory with you. Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith gives all. All of our so called rights come through Him by His mercy and grace. Not just out of His abundance from on high, but more importantly when He was in destitution on the way to suffering upon that rugged cross. While we were yet sinners He loved us. He died for us and want these positive things for every living person even then. Let us remember this today that while we could, might or would go about hating and baiting, that is lying traps for others that we might gain even more, that we SHOULD be following our Lord in a loving and freedom providing life that is set on seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. This life set is not just about receiving alone. It is about following the lead of our Savior. Are we follwing Christ in glory or wallowing like Satan a greedy pig?
