Have you ever felt lost where you belong? Not at home in your own home? Or maybe like youre in the wrong place? Im going out on a limb here to share some things. Sometimes I feel like Im the only person in Boulder, CO who doesnt feel at home. Theres SO many people that move to Boulder from all parts of the state, country, and world. And each of them seems so thrilled, inspired, and alive in the valley. I moved here a year and a half ago to be closer to the mountains. It was my dream to live in a mountain cabin. I wanted a home on a hill lit up by the glow of the fireplace like a lantern. I wanted to walk outside every morning to hike trails, regardless of the weather. I wanted plants and animals as neighbors instead of people. I wanted to live in Nature, with Nature. To me, that was going home. Well, I havent found my mountain cabin and my time in Boulder seems to be nearing its end. What Ive learned from this journey is that sometimes things/situations/it might not actually be meant to be and sometimes theres a greater lesson at hand, if you choose to accept it. This lesson for me is to stop pushing, to surrender into ease, and that sometimes its best to let go....and knowing just when is beautiful. Ill likely leave Boulder sometime with the melting snow.
