Have you ever felt that changing your surroundings would somehow change you circumstances? I am on vacation...so how about a vacation from this facial pain? Wouldnt it be great to have a break from the pain, the medicine and the side effects of taking the medicine? One of the possible triggers for my pain is wind...and it has been very, very windy since weve arrived here at the beach. Therefore, Ive limited the amount of time I have spent outdoors, and unfortunately, when I did go out, I paid for it. So today, after rising and viewing the beauty of the sun ascending from the ocean, I realized the wind had ceased. I was preparing to go for a walk when BAM, my face pain came upon me full force. My daughter has been specifically praying that this week my pain would cease...but that has not been the case.I sense my flesh fighting my spirit. I feel it would be easy to dwell on this disability I live with each and every day, regardless where I am or what I am doing. Part of me feels angry and frustrated. But the Spirit within me is shouting, dont give in to the flesh, but see the praise. So I am thankful to have this opportunity to sit on the balcony of this beautiful home and listen to the pounding of the waves on the sandy shore. I am grateful to be with my family, sharing, laughing, loving. And thankful that one day changing my surroundings will indeed change my circumstances: He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things have passed away. He who is seated on the throne says, I am making everything new...(Revelation 21:4,5) Hallelujah, all praise to my God!
