Have you ever had food-poisoning? If you’ve never experienced it - TopicsExpress

Have you ever had food-poisoning? If you’ve never experienced it before, lucky you; but those who have, they’ll know what I am talking about. The aftermath can be devastating. Once you’ve been sick from eating something, next time you are about to eat that particular food, you hesitate – your body reacts. Some people are left with permanent phobias. Sometimes even the smell or sight of that food is enough to make you sick. But what if it was your favourite food, or what if you worked in hospitality and couldn’t avoid being around that food? Creates some problems, doesn’t it? Is your hesitation wrong? No, of course not. However, one bad experience doesn’t mean that every time you eat that food it will make you sick. Why am I talking about food-poisoning? Recent events have caused many people to become fearful of Islam and Muslims. Please understand this; the actions of a few individual do not reflect beliefs of the thousands of Australian Muslims. Islam dictates that all Muslims have to abide by the laws of the country where they reside. “Islamic Scholars have stated that those who enter non-Muslim countries have to adhere to their respective laws and regulations even if they entered those countries illegally, and they have no excuse for breaking those laws, since they were entrusted to abide by those laws upon entry into those countries. Allah (Arabic for GOD) says: “Oh you who believe! Fulfil (your) obligations.” [Sûrah al-Mâ’idah: 1] He also says: “And fulfil (every) covenant. Verily! The covenant will be questioned about.” [Sûrah al-Isrâ: 34] He says: “And fulfil the Covenant to Allah when you have covenanted, and break not the oaths after you have confirmed them.” [Sûrah al-Nahl: 91] A Muslim is not to break or violate oaths or promises. He will not be a true faithful Muslim if he does so. Allah Said: “It is not the case that every time they make a covenant, some party among them throws it aside. Nay! The truth is most of them believe not.” [Sûrah al-Baqarah: 100]” Any Muslim, who truly follows Islam, will abide by Australian Laws. Islam teaches peace, tolerance, patience, honesty, humility, charity and respect – towards anyone and everyone! This is not exclusive to Islam – any decent human being will strive for these qualities. And the ultimate goal of Islam is to make you a better person. There will always be individuals/groups, just like any other radicals & extremists, who will take things out of context and bend it to fit their agenda. We live in a multicultural country, and we all have to learn in peace and harmony while respecting our differences. Please help spread this message to those who may have been poisoned by some bad examples of Muslims. Thank you for your kindness and support. May peace be upon you.
