Have you ever had the desire to create and visualize the lighting for an incredible production? Are you interested in mastering all the latest theatrical lighting control and state-of-the-art LED technology? If so, the Theatre Arts Department is offering our Introduction to Theatrical Lighting class this spring. Students will gain the fundamentals of theatrical lighting design, work hands on with the latest drafting and rendering approaches, and explore alternate and innovative design choices used throughout the industry. The skills and techniques gained by the student in this class translate into other entertainment mediums such as film, television, and live music production. The Theatre Arts Department has purchased a new LED Source 4 Lighting system, a new ETC ION Lighting Console, and Vari-lite Moving Light technology. No other campus in the area has educational access to such great technology in the classroom. Spaces are limited, so enroll right away to ensure you have a seat.
