Have you ever heard of the SAID Principle? It is the Specific Adaptation to Imposed Demand. It means your body will adapt to the exercises, weights, reps and sets with each workout. This is why you must safely increase the demand on the body with each workout. You can increase the weight with each set, shorten your rest period (take a 60 second rest period instead of 2 minutes), increase the amount of sets from 2-3(depending on your goals), or increase the amount of reps (from 8 to 10, again depending on what your goals are).
