Have you ever seen a more beautiful face?! This is our retired doe, Fiona, who had a mastectomy last summer. A post-op pneumonia left us with a grave prognosis and a 30% chance of survival. I am so thankful, always, for the staff at CSU Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital for the gentle, thorough, loving, competent care they gave her. Because of them, she made a full recovery and is thriving. She is enjoying retirement with her daughters and granddaughters and lots of treats and snuggles. She didnt come from the nicest place before she came to us, but we hope we can give her some amazing golden years. Tonight, Fiona realized her mistake of not joining the milkers for evening grain. Luckily, she joined me for dinner, milking parlor sanitizing and some one-on-one time. I love her so much.
