Have you ever thought about why the Islamist tyranny in Iran that calls USA teh Great Satan calls itself an Islamic Republic ?? Modern day republicanism is an American invention that was named after the primitive and failed early models experimented by the Greek republics in ancient times (still, secular background) and now an Islamist regime is trying to portray itself as truly Islamic but a republic one! If you understand the Islamist ideology behind the IRI and the Velayate Faqih system, its totally anti-western, while the use of Arabic words have become more common in Persian vocabulary and specially the regimes official and military language, but they have been trying very hard to remove and replace every western word in Persian language! Yet, they call their regime a republic while in reality beside their election circus and the zoo they call their parliament, there is no essence of republicanism in their government. This how the mullahs have managed to stay in power for so many years. Their ideology and the political system they have invented, borrowed every piece from a western, eastern, religious, philosophical,... political ideology. They reinvented Shia theology to assume supreme power over all the people under their rule as the representatives of God on earth if you oppose the regime, they sentence you to death as an enemy of God, as if that poor weak God needs a bunch of mullahs to protect him against the enemies! What a creator!! If you call for regime change and democracy, they claim that the country doesnt need a different government because the country is a republic were people elect their own leaders! (while in reality the unelected dictators handpick their puppets for people to SELECT, all from the same party and loyal to the same backward ideology). They borrowed part of their global views and agendas from the communists, they keep the country isolated, threaten and hostile toward other nations, sponsor terrorism and suppress the Iranian people, under the pretext of fighting western imperialism, then they try to build their own empire of terror by creating terrorist proxies like the Hezbollah that takeover whole countries. Where sectarianism is beneficial to them, they create sectarian civil war by leading their Shia terrorists as they did in Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain and Syria and where sectarianism dont work, they use pan-Islamist and the Muslim Brotherhood borrowed ideology to expand, as they backed the Taliban, Hamas and even the Al-Qaeda. In their schools they tell the children that the Iranians were fire worshiping barbarians that Muslims from the Arabian deserts enlightened them, but when it helps them, they make some noise over the name of Persian Gulf. The mullahs suppress, kill and imprison anyone who criticizes the regime, instead they created a reformist opposition that is loyal to them and doesnt seek to topple the regime.
