Have you ever tried to train one animal but another keeps coming into the picture? Ask the one to stay in an area and remain there while training the other. I was training two pigs the other day and would have put one in the house while I taught the other to turn in a circle, but going back into the house was not an option. So I needed Ruby to stay at a distance from my immediate training area with Zoey while I taught Zoey to turn in a circle. To make it easier for Ruby to know where I wanted her to remain, I placed a board on the ground and taught her that when all four hooves remain behind the board, reinforcers come for her also. Added complexity for the trainer. I like that. ;) Happy training!
